I'll be there. Either stroll with my mom or a couple of friends. Will be driving the Honda, 6 gallons of gas each way just to park the chevelle in the parking lot is kind of a waste and with its half done projects on it its nowhere near show worthy.

For info:
Obviously, as stated, In Long Beach July 20th.
More specifically in Eldorado Park. Course Eldorado Park is Huge, so there's a gate off Wardlow Rd. thats been the entrance the last two years, so I assume it is again. The easy way to get there is exit the 605 at Carson St. from the Southbound side you'd turn left off the freeway, for the northbound side you'd turn right. head east for a bit, and I believe its Norwalk that you hang a right on, take it down to Wardlow then hang another right on Wardlow and you'll see the entrance on the right(if its at show beginning you'll see a huge line of chevelles and elcaminos waiting to get in) The gate is on the north side of the road, so that puts you on the correct side of the street.(There's a median in the middle, I dont think anyone has a 4x4 Chevelle/Elcamino to just moto over that to get in ;) )

Thinking about coming down from Seattle if I can get on a flight, I'm flying standby. Any projections on how many cars will be there? How many in the past? Is there a host hotel and how far from the Long Beach airport?
Thanks, Jeff.

I'll be there with my 72 hunter green machine. Will leave around noon and head down to San Diego for a tuna trip to Mexico. graemlins/hurray.gif

It's like 10-15min from long beach airport, if that. I'm not sure of the numbers as I've never been. There aren't very many hotels/motels in the area, you'll probably want to stay in one by the airport or you can find one in los alamitos(which is directly west of the park over a bridge)

Believe it was like 5 bucks or so to get into the park last year when I didnt show. I could be wrong though...

Going up to the show and leaving at noon to go fishing in the Sierras (Bishop,Bridgeport), on to a mini vacation up in Minnesota, then down to the Kansas City Regionals on Aug 1st, 2nd. Then home. Two Chevelle shows in 11 days. What else could be better?

Unfortunately, I wont be able to make it as I have a funeral to attend tomorrow. A long-time friend of mine lost his father last Monday.

Going with a good friend, Dave Lindsley, who has a DANA 66 Chevelle SS 427 car with very rare cowl induction air cleaner and special suspension. It is all original and Dave is tryng to find more info on the car. Dick Guldstrand looked at it last October and said he remembered a 'brown' one drag racing and owned by the dealership.

Dick was the general manager of the performance department at DANA from September 66 thru late November 67. His section was primarily road race Corvettes and Camaros.

If anyone knows anything about the history of this fire breathing monster, we are most interested in listing. Hope you all come by for a visit and enjoy this rare Chevelle. See you in the morning.
