Is it possible to replace the trunk pan w/o damaging anything else (quarter panles, etc)?
The rest of the car is beautiful (exterior) and I dont want to screw it up.
Thanks!

Hello Tomb7us,
I am getting ready to replace my inner outter wheelhousings and trunk floor, drop offs, braces, gas tank braces and quarter skins any suggestions. I have to admitt this is a 1st time for me and I am kinda worried this is a big project. I was going to use a punch/flange tool on the quarters and then screw them down and then weld throught the holes with a mig welder. How big of job was this. I am concerned that my trunk pan goes further into the rear floor pan than most. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
jeff

If you're drop-offs are in good shape, it'll be a snap. Where the floor will attach to the inner wheel well, will be the biggest issue where you can't screw up.

Sure is. I'd cover the whole car in thin plastic and tape it all off. It's amazing how much debris gets thrown everywhere. I key here is protection and don't get in a hurry.

You could get the plastic the body shops use in a big roll, put that over it, tape it on the edges with blue painters tape, regular masking tape left on to long will damage your paint. Then go down to a thrift store or salvation army, whatever, and buy some used bed sheets or blankets, cover it with those, then another covering with the plastic, keep a fire extinguisher handy just in case, and go for it. If you have a friend or somebody that could hang out when the sparks are flying, that would be a good thing to do.
