Drilling out a broken exhaust manifold stud? Manifold is still in the vehicle..plenty of room to get to it..Any kinda special drill bit or anything? I hate when crap like this happens! graemlins/angry.gif :mad:
The stud is broken flat off..

its very hard to get it drilled out perfectly in the car, what I would do is center punch a mark as close to the center of the stud as possible, drill a hole in the stud, heat the manifold ear red hot with a torch or a hand held mapp gas torch and then use an easy out to remove whats left. Heat is the magic with getting out manifold studs, it will come out very easily once heated.
