: Fair price for having wire wheels sandblasted

I've never had anything sandblasted.

I stripped one wheel with Aircraft Remover, and it takes too much time to scrub between the spokes with a wad of steel wool on the end of a dull screwdriver. Already scrapped one pair of gloves in the process, so I'm going to have them sandblasted. There's a lot of rust inside the wheel around the spoke heads which should be blasted too.

What's a fair price per wheel so I'll have an idea of what to expect? Thanks.

runs me $10-$20 a wheel depending on how rough they are,,,

Glenn...I used to have my wheels sandblasted for about $25. per and I was never satisfied with the finish. I now have all my wheels "dip-stripped" (removes all dirt, paint, and rust), much cheaper $15. per wheel and they come out with a great finish ready to prime and paint.

Thanks for the advice.

I'll just stick with the paint stripper. This car nickel and dimes me to death. These things are becoming a project, wheel #2 had 5 bad (headless or broken) long spokes - have to order some after I check the other two wheels tomorrow night. I was going to use the bent spare wheel for spokes, but I can't remove them without breaking them. I might try a little butane action to see if that helps. PB Blaster alone wasn't enough.
