A friend just told me about a buddy of his and what happened to his Chevelle the other day. He has been working on this car for some time, completely restored the car, just finished installing a big block all hopped up to 600hp (so he says), a lot of $$ invested. Well his teenage son was bragging to his buddies and took them to his dads shop (auto repair) to show off the car. They egged him into firing it up and you know what happened next? He was revving the hell out of the engine and it suddenly jumped in reverse gear (that the story), flying backward into a rolling tool chest, crashing thru a large overhear door and into the front end of a customer car parked in front of the door. One of kids standing behind the car just missed getting wiped out. The Chevelle is baldy damaged, the 2002 Trailblazer it hit it in bad shape, and the building has extensive damage. All for the joy of showing off. They think something happened to the engine too because it was revving at WOT and made a lot noise when it died. Its a miracle nobody was killed.

Quite a story. Reminded me of Ferris Beuller's Day Off. All kidding aside, those kids are lucky and it probably seems like small consolation, but everything that's damaged can be repaired.

I think that is ****** of you two (Dean&SS3964N8) to even think that he deserved that to happen to him & his car,shop,etc.Teenagers do dumb things all the time.You cant watch them 100% of the time.Thats like saying if somebody keyed your car while you were at a car show when you went to the bathroom that you would deserved it for leaving the car alone for 5 minutes to take a p*ss .Maybe something will happen to one of your cars & then lets see if you feel you deserved it.I think the last thing this guy needs is two smart asses makeing dumb comments like that.I wish when something bad happens people would keep there mouth shut unless you have something decent to say.I am sure the man is upset enough as it is with out somebody trying to rub salt in his wounds.Just my thought.
