Anyone have an opinion on these claimer oil pans? They do any good?
Thanks

I have used them on stock car motors. It was vital on our street stock car on a 3/8 mile high banked track. The oil would literally stack up against the right side of the oil pan and if you didn't use a 'claimer' pan and matching pick-up we would starve the engine of oil. I actually lost a motor to this, and I have seen several others.
Now to you question, for the price it is not worth even taking the time to wash the old oil out of your pan. A new pan has straight pan rails and isn't cracked, rusted, and beaten. The claimer pan scraper and tray and trap door probably help with windage, but I would doubt that you would ever see the difference. I have one on my SBC.
Good Luck.
