Dear "Ricks" and all others who have an opinion on the correct "grey" shade of paint on 69/70 SS wheels. Please proceed to featured adds,Black Cherry 70,additional photos,thumbnails-25-48,photo 27 of 71. IS THIS the correct color grey for these wheels??? I know this topic has been beat to death but I never saw it resolved and describing paint shade without a photo is futile for me. Everyones opinion please especially the Professional restorers. Thanks Nick

How about a link (http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=4073071&a=30734531&p=63837188&f=0) to help with this question? smile.gif

It looks really close. The correct shade is sold through most restoration suppliers like Ground Up. On the can on my garage shelf, the label says,

DETAILS
SS Wheel
Insert Gray

It was bought at Southwestern Classic Chevy Parts in Arlington Texas.

Thanks fellas. I used the "grey" supplied by Ground Up"and it looks like the picture mentioned but still can't get "charcoal grey" out of my head.If that wheel is correctly colored its a gun-metal grey to me. Sorry bout the "link", computer-wise I'm not there yet .Any more opinions ? later Nick
