: Bent Ralley wheels?

I've been chasing down a vibration problem at speed. 50 mph and up. I've installed a new pinion yoke and U-joint. The driveline now looks OK. When I jack the car up and get the tires going, you can see that the wheels are bent or maybe the tires are out of round. Maybe up to 1/16". Is this enough to cause a vibration?

Put another set of wheels and tires on and go for a ride. Let us know the results.

Thanks,
Bubba

Jimmy,
See if you can find a tire shop that has a "road force" balancing machine. This type of machine actually loads the tire against a roller and measures the change in force as it rotates. It can locate and correct balance and bent wheel problems that "regular" balancers cannot.
Hope this helps,

Thanks Bill. I'll look into that. Never heard of it before and I may have to go metro to find one as I live out in the sticks.
If I had another set of tires to try I would. I don't want to have to ask anyone else for theirs.
