: where is the best place to buy bolts for trans and converter?

i need the 3 bolts and nuts that mount the torque converter and the 6 bolts that bolt the trans to the motor. i dont know what size they are and would like to just buy the correct stuf today if possible.

I would think that any Auto parts supply place would be able to look up what you are needing and would have the idems on their shelf. This way your will get the correct grade bolts and nuts.

Machine shop got me the 6 flexplate bolts, converter bolts I had, but I know the machine shop had those too, as well as most transmission shops will too. Good Luck! smile.gif

Pep-Boys has them packaged in the Spectre "Dress-up" section ussually, not sure they are as good as others like ARP (which i highly recomend) but i have used them before without any problems.

I see you've already got them, but just in case someone does a search in the future, I thought I'd add my $0.02.

I picked mine up at the local GM dealer. Parts guy just turned around, opened a drawer in a metal parts bin behind him and handed them to me - said it wasn't worth writing up a bill. Mind you I'd just bought a crate engine from them. Still, I appreciated it.
