I'm looking to get goodmark quarters put on my 69 , not sure if i should buy a wire welder and try to do it or have a body man do it on the side. What would a fair price be to install/weld the panels on . I would take it from there. Any comments on goodmarks quality? Thanks

If the quarters are being replaced because of the red cancer, you'll need at a minimum both outer wheelhouses and both trunk floor extensions.
I've learned to do the job myself because the body shops in my neck of the woods can't meet my completion schedules. The really good guys are booked well into the future. The ones that say they can give me what I want are not trustworthy.
Buy a mig welder, cut off tool with a bushel of cutting wheels, vise grips, and an air chisel. These tools will help you cut the old panels off and install the new ones. It's dirty, ruins clothes, and is a lot of fun.
Reading the posts, good comments on the goodmarks.

Thanks for the reply. This car is a father son project. My son has the ablity to do the welding, but he or I have never done the quarter panel install. I have a fellow who is to give a estimate this weekend on doing the work on the side, but i have no idea what it's worth.

RB, I had both of mine done by a guy on the side at his house. Ed is right on the money I had to replace both inners and one trunk extension. To answer your question about dollars I paid 1,500. which included me doing a lot of the dirty work, but we also sandblasted the bottom of the car undercoated, painted the floor and trunk pan inside and out and the firewall.
Like Ed said it can be done yourself with the proper tools and a little research on the subject, it is difficult without the experience but not impossible.
BTW whereabouts in Iowa? I was born in Keokuk and raised in Burlington. My car came from Ottumwa originally. Just curious.
Hope that helps.
