Here is the kicker. The top part of my dash, is black, the ash tray door and the glove box door are black. But the rest of my dash is green. The original color is green, but was wondering if it was possible to paint the "bottom" part of the dash black; along with the kick panels. I plan on using black spray paint for the kick panels and was wondering if anyone has used gloss black to paint the bottom of their dashes? I can get the black dye, but was wondering about the gloss black for now. Thanks in advance for the replies and advice. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Im assuming your talking about a 1971 dash. You can paint it but I wouldn't use gloss. A flat or semi gloss would look better. Later, you can armor all this and it should blend in with the existing black ashtray and glove box door. Use light coats rather than one heavy one. Vinyl spray might be the better choice too.

Be sure to clean the area with carb or brake cleaner first to remove any old Armor all or grease/grime.
