Yes, you can have plastic parts rechromed. The supplier I used is out of bussiness so I don't know who to send you to. Anybody?

I had my dash pieces vacucm coated at spar tech in Sparta Wi. but this was in the mid '80s and they may not be around anymore. I did however have my 50" SS dash strip replated and painted original style black a few years back at MrGs and was happy with the work. I too will not use repops There is also a member who posts on this board that plates plastic pieces.

I know Chuck Hanson used a Goodmark Industries dash in a 69 and was pleased with it and I see that they have 66-67 dash bezels now too. Whether they are new or use the same supplier as everyone else I don't know. You might ask 'em about it. Part number from them is 4031-523-661. It's located at http://goodmarkindustries.com/Chevelle6467.htm under Dash Parts about half way down the page.

There are also 3 companies listed at http://www.hotrodders.com/directory/hot_rod_services_chrome_plating.shtml for plating plastic pieces: American Plastic Chrome (Wayne, MI), Advanced Plating (Nashville, TN), and Plating Specialties (Grand Junction, CO) that you might take a look at.
