I have the factory 5 star steel mags on my 71. The face is a kind of matte rough grey metalic color and the back side are regular grey?? Anyone know the best match paint product to obtain for both the face and back of this style mag.
Thanks,

Hey Dave. Try doing a search of "wheel color" and you'll find a few answers.I know YearOne and Original parts group sell shaker-cans of the right colors for 69-70 wheels so I presume they would also have the same for the 71&up SS/z/28 wheels as well. Good luck

Dave,
Year One use to sell the quarts of the original colors (I bought one of each several years ago). I went out to my storage cabinets and found the cans so here are Year Ones' part numbers for the 71-72 wheels.
Dark Gray 5 spoke wheel: QP961
Inner wheel paint: QP569
Hope this helps!

Hello,
I used the spray can from Classic Industries on my '72 wheels. Dries to the flat rough texture that is similar to the correct paint used on these wheels. I was very pleased. Check out classicindustries.com and go to their wheel paint section for a complete description. I used one can for 5 wheels.
