I know there was post along time ago about a product used by boeing to protect bare metal parts. I just can't seem to find it. (this was 2 years, long ago) People who had tried it, said it worked well. I think it was just a clear coating.

The reason why. I just polished my water pump and want it to stay as it is. I have heard clear coat will yellow under heat. Clear powder coating maybe my only choice.

Definetley open to other suggestions.

Thanks for any help.

A good quality automotive two/three-part urethane will not yellow from heat. I wouldn't use any other type of clear coat paint.

You can get the paint from any automotive paint supply store or a NAPA if they carry the Martin Senour line of paints & supplies. The Boeshield is just like a silicone spray lubricant (WD-40). I've used it on my Sea-Doos that I raced in the salt water. I sprayed the motors down with it after every use. It works great at preventing corrosion but it will eventually come off even though it will last a long time. The good part is that you simply spray it on like WD-40. Good stuff.
