Hi evryone, Can someone tell me where I can by a alm. intake that will fit under my hood. 70 Chevelle ss 454 colw induction. I would like to keep the original air cleaner set up. The heads are oval port. Thanks

Thanks ,I just looked there and did not see anything. Maybe I'm searchig wrong? Did the LS5 have the same air filter houseing as the LS6?
Was the LS6 a duel plane intake?

Yes, I don't turn up many LS5 intakes on my searches (then again I am searching LS6 stuff so that's probably why smile.gif ). The 3963569 aluminum LS6 intake is indeed dual plane.

Thanks An Edelbrock Performer will fit fine with the factory cowl induction air cleaner..you just can't use the carb to air cleaner spacer,due to the fact the Performer is taller than the stock intake.I run this same set up on my 70 SS454

I put an Edelbrock Performer part# 2161 on my 68 SS 396 and Edelbrock 600cfm carb,Had problem with hood clearance, Couldn't use 3" filter,Had to find a 2 1/2" filter,Was hard to find a drop base filter with the electric choke set up.
