1st off if you feel this does not belong in this section feel free to move it rich, just thought move people would see it here, well anyway I went to show on sunday about a 1/2 hr from my home, we go there every year( got 1st place also) Iam walking around the show and see the grille of a 70 in another class, go to check it out and sitting there is a 70 ss convt,this car has 104,000 miles on it and shows the years of age but the car is total untouched it has been restored or rebuild all the factory parts are still on this car including the origial heater hoses from 1970 and the factor spare still in the trunk a little worse for ware, I found the owner looking at my car so we get to talking, he bought the car in 1972 from a guy in the bar for 2 grand at night, he did not know the car was a convet untill the day, he thought it was a black vinal top!! the car was sold new in my home town and has been here all these years hiding on the back roads, well the hopes are to buy this car from him, i have him thinking we will see what happens,as some of you know i restoring a 70 convt at this time, maybe doing another one.moral of the story you never know when one of these will appear from now where so keep looking they are still out there...Don
