The bumpers on my '66 are in really good shape. But I think I can get those repo ones for cheaper then I can have mine re-chromed. Are the repos of good quality? Or should I stick with the stock ones?

Rechrome your originals and you can't go wrong.

Mark, I too am at the point of needing to do something with the bumpers on my 65 SS rag. Most of the folks that I have talked to at recent cruises and shows have encouraged me to spend a little extra and go the re-chroming route of my originals. It sounds like the repros just do not hold up over time.

i have tried both. the repos have 2 faults. first they dont always fit. even the goodmark ones. if your original ones fit your car replate them. next is the metal thickness. the repos are thinner material. i had to bend up the inner lip on my 70 chevelle front goodmark repo. it looked like it had been stepped on in shipping. i bent it up with my hands. im working on a corvette now and am going to spend the money having them replated.
