rollin_92gt Aug 9th, 02, 10:54 PM where do the exhaust pipes come out in a 69 chevelle 300 2 dr coupe? all the way out the back or behind the rear tires? do they turn down or come straight out? any help will be appreciated, or any suggestions as to what looks good or looks "original" ( i hope this makes sense) ------------------ SSGT/USMC SEMPER FI fastss396man Aug 10th, 02, 10:14 PM SSGT, Factory assy manual 69" shows as follows: 1) L-6 Sedan and Coupe: left side behind rear tire and turns down. 2) V-8 Sedan and Coupe: right side, ends 2-1/4" before bumper and turns down and slightly out about 45 degrees. Between the frame and quarter panel. 3) V-8 396 Shows dual between frame and quarter panel and straight back. Then finished with a Chrome Tip that extends past the bottom of the bumber aproximately 1 inch. Walker/Dynomax with JetHot coating, followed by: Summit 2 1/2" aluminized straight pipe, Walker/Dynomax Turbo Tubes, Ends cut and rewelded at 45* angles - 180* out, Flow Master mandrel bent Tail Pipes, cut back to make room for... Walker/Dynomax Race Mag mufflers, ends cut short to allow for factory Chrome Tips. All stainless clamps. My own version of the Chambered Exhaust designed and fabed up by me. ACES# 3466 alss Aug 15th, 02, 12:54 PM rolling 92...I have not seen any 300 deluxe emblems for sale and I go to alot of swap meets. When I bought the 69 300 the owner gave me 1 NOS emblem with the car. It now resides on my mantel collecting dust. I enjoy just looking at it while I search for its brother. Good luck in your search...and yes they are all mine.
