I have an improper (70)light green tach (6500 red line)and gauge set up in my 71. I'm going to pull it out and replace it with the correct 71 unit. I will be posting it on EBAY but I want to set the reserve price at the appropriate level. Does anyone have an esstimate what this rare cluster is worth? Thanks in advance, Mike.

IMO,the cluster istself might be worth $300-$350,again JMO.With the 6500 rpm redline tach being repro'd,it makes it harder to figure out an accurate value on it.Again,JMO.

it is safe to say that ebay will bring you a fair value for this setup, i have seen exactly what you are selling go for $650 on ebay.

I was lucky enough to find a NOS Tac on Ebay for my 71 Chevelle SS 454 for $400 winter before last. I don't know about everyone else, but I was really nervous until I found out it worked ok after spending that kind of money on a promise from a stranger that it was tested and ok.

I also found a 71 clock on Ebay that was converted to a quartz movement for $99 but that was from a business that restores clocks and tac's so I felt really safe dealing with him. We emailed back and forth on questions I had and he was easy to do business with. He was testing the waters so to speak on using Ebay. I would do business with him anytime. If anyone needs to have a tac or clock repaired or converted his email address is.... DLecroyjr@aol.com
