If a console and deluxe seat belts were ordered, what was the qualifier to get the chrome clips on the console? I've seen both n 4-speed and automatic console cars with and without the seat belt holders and all had deluxe seat belts.

Did normal belts (plastic colored female ends) not get the holders and deluxe belts (brushed ends) did and there's been enough swapping of belts and consoles through the years to disguise the fact - regardless of transmission type?

Dale, my 67 SS came with the normal colored seat belt ends and it also had the chrome clips to store them on the console.

Roger Did it come from the factory that way or that's the way it was when you bought it? Two of the 67s that I remember enough about (my first and my last strangely enough) were both 4-spd cars w/deluxe belts and the clips. I've seen automatics as well as 4-spd consoles both with and without the clips...some with deluxe ends and no console clip. May be a factory specific thing or a date built change.

Dale,

My Baltimore, June 67 SS, came with standard belts with the clips on the console...

My 67SS does not have them, or any evidence that they were ever there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that part of the 67 package w/console?

I think seat belts were required as of Jan. 1st, 1967, so maybe this'll have something to do with the seatbelt clips?
