I've got it figured out that the original side stripe on my Glacier Blue 69 SS, Blue Vinyl top, Blue interior should be Black, Question is were they Painted on or Stickers, as it was 1969 I'm guessing it was Painted, anybody know for sure

Most hsve been found to be decals originally. The only ones I have heard of painted were dealer installations. Stencils and stripes is the place to get your set

Really? Decals huh, well that makes it easier and since it shows 6D96DA Sport Striping on the window sticker it would have been a Decal, My body man has a short memory and cant remember from 1989 when he did the repaint
Thanks Micky, Stencils and stripes it is, that was my next question, (best stencil or decal kit)

55,

I read some where originally that the front fenders were painted and then the doors and quarters were vinyl. However last summer I had an oppurtunity to look over an very original 69 Chevelle SS. The fact of the matter was that the original stripes on this very original 69 SS were all decal stripes. This particular SS was later purchased by Shannon Vanover TC. I'm sure he can verify this as well.
Stencils and Stripes was the source I used for my resto stripes. Very high quality and perfect in every detail. They will have a "parchmented" finish (slightly dull grained) this finish is correct as they should not be a high gloss finish. And if you accedently get some wax on them they will remain slightly dull in appearence.
