One of those things I never paid attention to when I had the chance. The '69 STANDARD belt seat belt retractor covers; were they the same for bucket and bench seats? I looked at a set of the optional custom belts for a bench seat and the cover was definately different than what I have. I'm guessing it's just the difference between std and custom belts. I thought mine (std) were for a bench seat but now I'm not sure.

Von,
When I did my resto I converted from bench to buckets. Cut out and welded in the correct floor hump for console to mahke it right. I reused the same seat belts as well as the same retractor covers. They all fit perfectly in the same location. I've never noticed any difference. Haven't seen that many with the deluxe belt option to notice. We'll see what other posts come up on this subject.
I was also lucky enough to find the lower center heater vent... It was definitly different to blow on either side of the center console.
I still remember finding it in an ElCamino at a local wrecking yard, it was like finding gold. And of course the guy only wanted a few bucks for it. Just looked like another heater vent to him. It was like Christmas in July for me! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I've been after a set of those for years, Blue, I've got the deluxe Seatbelts & front seat shoulder harness, option #6ZK3AM. Mine were slowly destroyed over the last two years,
I really could'nt say if they were the same as the standard covers or not, I'm at the point where I'll take almost anything, I did'nt realize they may be different

Yes I know the retractor covers for Custom Deluxe belts are different than ones for the standard belts. But I'm trying to find out if the covers for STANDARD belts are different between buckets and bench. I know either will fit and work fine. Just want to know if the appearance is different. I suspect not, just want to be sure.

Where does the train stop? Sometimes you just want to get off and go for a walk! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
I just pulled my drive shaft because it was vibrating a little. The guy at the shop asked at what speed? I said about 70mph. He said you shouldn't be driving that fast! I said I know but it's fun sometimes! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif
