: Installing a LOKAR engine oil dip stick-What's necessary?

I want to install a billet Lokar dip stick on my smallblock. Naturally you must remove the the existing dipstick and the outer tube. Is it necessary to remove the oil pan and knock out the inter tube?

I'd give Lokar a call and ask their tech guys if that's required.
