I am in the finishing processes of building my 654dr, I just gutted what was left in the interior including the dash pad and had refinishing question.
The pad is in good conditionn with the exception of a 2" crack just past the curve in the middle. I dont want to spend the money on a new dash pad because I have no interest in retaining the center speaker, so my question is has anyone taken any type of material and just glued it over the old pad.
I was thinking on using expanding foam of something similar to fill in the speaker hole and to keep the shape of the dash over it. Has anyone found a good material and adhesive?
Thanks
