Does anyone know what year rear sway bars and lower control arms can be used on 66/67 Chevelles? I'd rather use the stock ones than the new beefed up control arms. I'm looking for a sway bar and lower BOXED control arms for the project car and I'd rather have more than one year to choose from. I believe Monte stuff is too wide as I remember.

Sorry! Double post, but no one ever seems to be home in the other groups.

thanks
Chuck

68-72 chevelle and monte and elky are all the same. they will fit yours. it is just the upper control arms that are different. there are 2 styles of sway bars. side mounted and bottom mounted. bottom mounted will work too. just match up the control arms style with those. i believe the bottom mount were after 72. you can also but the inserts to weld in your control arms to make it just like stock. then just get the sway bar. but when you buy one be aware of the two styles.

Any 64-72 A-body lower control arms and sway bar will fit. I would box your current lower control arms. Buy the sway bar new from the dealer, they cost about $75, I ordered mine from Crown Chevrolet in Dublin a few months ago.
