i need help! i have ac on my 71. all the parts are there and it used to work now it blows hot air. i was wondering if anyone has any thoughts, advise etc on how to cool it down again. i heard of a kit or something you can buy to convert the old (expensive) freon to the new (cheap) freon. does this really work?

I have had 2 close friends who have had their systems converted to R-134. Both are extremely happy with the results. Both were done for about $75.00.
You should find an experienced mechanic to check it out. The system stopped working for a reason (leak most likely) and a pro will be able to correct this before adding the 134.
