I've been unhappy with my exhaust sound for a while (now 2.5" x-pipe with edelbrock RPM muffs) &(before 2.25 with edelbrock rpms & h-pipe)
I don't want to go with flowmasters, I don't like the hollow can sound- but I do like loud & rumbly.... I've heard Gardners exhaust mentioned here by the resto gurus here and ran accross their website www.gardnerexhast.com (http://www.gardnerexhaust.com/)
(Click here to go directly to their sound clip page (http://www.gardnerexhaust.com/soundclips.html)
That stuff sounds awesome!!! However its expensive, and i have headers, etc etc making it not exactly right for me... So i continued looking and found a few more places...
This place: http://www.sweet-thunder.com/ Has indivudual chamberd muffler tubes for a pretty good price, as well as a pre-bent system made for chevelles (little more expensive)
And also found another one from our well known friends at Torque Tech: www.torquetechexh.com (http://www.torquetechexh.com/Web%20Pages%20June%2028,%2002/Mufflers-Chambered.htm)
Anyway... I was wondering are any of you guys running these systems, or the individual tubes? How does it sound? Too loud? Too much resonance? Just bad ass?
I love the way the gardner sound clips sound- but don't really want the whole shebang kit they sell...
Anyway, just thought i'd see what you guys thought- Thanks!
