Just wondering what spark plugs have worked good for you guys with 327s? Mine is all stock, except for HEI. How about oil? My motor only has about 20,000 miles on it.

I have 461 casting heads on my sb and I JUST started using NGK XR4 plugs. I like 'em better then the AC Delco plugs that I usually run. The reason I changed is lately I am having trouble getting AC plugs in the heat range I want...R44S. The local parts stores only handle R45S...and they say that they can not get them. So I took a chance and tried the NGK's. I am also running MSD ignition to fire 'em!!Me and my motor has been happy every since!! http://64.207.13.28/mysmilies/cwm/cwm/spin2.gif
As far as the oil is concerned. I used to run 10/40 Pennzoil. But recently my dad's Toyota, http://jeeptalk.org/crack/smilies/contrib/dday/whatever.gif which has over 200,000 miles on it, started burning a qt. of oil every 1,500 miles or so. He talked to a local garage about it one day and was told that he (the mechanic)used Shell Rotelle T in his flat bed. It "used" to burn a gt. every 1,000 miles until he tried this Shell oil with Rotelle T. Now it might burn a qt. every 3,500 (at every oil change). I will be trying this oil once I get my motor back together.

Gino, I have had good luck with Autolite 75, 461 heads, HEI. Plug gap .045.
You need to run that 327 so hard it blowes the oil out befor it has a chance to burn. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif
