Not sure where to post this, so move it if you need to. Before I break something, I thought I'd ask. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm replacing my old throttle cable on my 350 4 bl. How do you get the cable loose from the pedal assembly? Looks to be either a plastic or metal insert which locks the cable end into the round hole of the pedal rod. Do I just pry it out of the rod or use needle nose pliers to squeeze the insert together first or what? Like I said, I dont want to break the insert. Any tips for me?

Just pry the round plastic insert in the accelerator pedal out. It comes out from the side facing the driver. The insert has a slit that runs the length of it so it can be removed from the cable.

Boy, that was easy. Too bad all those little repairs don't go that smooth.
