Does anyone know what type of retainer/clip is required for holding the p/w switchs to the door panels for my 67 El Camino? I have been trying to locate these parts, but believe they are now obsolete. Any info or photo's would be appreciated.
Thanks; Tim

The retainers were a die stamped steel rectangular ring that had tabs on it. The ring slipped into the door panel from the front and the tabs were bent over to hold it in the panel. It also served as a reinforcement for the panel.
The single switches were the same as MANY GM cars from early '60s through '70. The double switch was used in 64-70 El Caminos and 70+(not sure when this style switch was replaced in these cars) Camaro/Firebird cars.
The retainers should not be that hard to find. Try the Camaro parts suppliers.
The original parts numbers for these retainers are: single button 4722455 and double button 4757731
