they stopped making two door wagons in 1965. They didn't make too many of them and they were all Chevelle 300's

WANTED: Someone with lots of money who wants a '70 SS454 2-door wagon built to look exactly like what Chevrolet would have built. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

You must admit, it would be different......

oh..oh....me......me!!! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif
whatcha got? lets see it !!!

i am building one thats tubbed. you can see a computer altered concept of it on my site. i like the chevelle front end, doors, and quarter window look better then the elky doors. i like the ability to put the quarter window down with no post too. in my opinion not bad looking when the rear windows are filled in solid like a sadan delivery. my wagon is already tubbed and i am finnishing up one project befor i get back to it.

I had seen yours and that is on similar lines. I want to build a 'real' SS454 2 door wagon where only me and the Pope would know Chevrolet didn't build it that way. Fabricatind doors and rear glass around it. I have done it on paper and it looks very........cool? Unfortunately a little spendy to build though. Back half of the interior would also have to be fabricated as well.

Can you fax a copy? email me and i will give you the fax number. i am leaving for the day and will get back to you tomarrow. pete
one thing though, if you try to pull it off that it was factory you might get your head chewed off. i would be prepared to answer "NO" if people ask if it is a factory original 2 door.

e-mail me your fax number. It is buried somewhere so give me time.

As far as pulling it off as a 'real' car, that was meant to mean that it would be done so correctly that no one would know it wasn't real. Trying to sell a car that way would be pretty stupid as not to many people in the know would buy that line.

Similar to the 70 Monte Carlo convertible sold at Barrett-Jackson recently. The car was custom made and you would have to be an expert to know it wasn't real but the previous owner wasn't trying to fool anyone.

Rick I just emailed it to you. I actually was not implying when you sold it, but when you showed it and people asked you if you did it or it was factory. true, most people don't even know they did not make them. there was 71 in a magazine, I think it was hot rod. do a search here on it. it has elky doors. the guy swares its factory. but I think we all know better.

In the March/April 1999 CHEVELLE WORLD Chuck lists the production statistics for 1968's.
It shows under body number 13435 that there were 7,420 total made. of 2dr, 6 pass, 8 cyl.

Is this a typo?

13435 = Nomad Custom, 4 dr., Wagon, 8-cyl and for 68 there were 7420 built.

Las Vegas ?
a 68 2 door wagon ?
I think weve seen that one on eBay before.
Remember guys ? !!! Wasn't it purple ?? With florescent green trim or something ?
There was a guy up the street from him that knew how much of a bastardized piece of &*%$ it is.

hmmmmmm????????
Must be the same car/wagon/truck/junk we saw before.

Thanks, Steve! Yeah, I make typos... especially at about two in the morning, when my fingers seem to get really fat.

There was a very nicely done 66 out of Wisconsin made into a 2-dr at CB last year. http://www.dalesplace.com/images/chevelle_shows/aces2002/66-67/mp2l.jpg . It also appears on the new Chevelle-2003 calendar.
