El Camino 68' with 327. Runs fine, paint ok, interior is ok, no rust needs nickel and dime stuff. $2,000 does that sound like a good deal or worth buying?

I agree, if it really really has no rust
it should be worth at least 3 or 4 times that

i would go for it. finding a near rust free el camino is hard. Be sure to look at the rear window near the bottom. That is a common rust area. 2K is a great price if the car is represented for what it is.

Run a magnet alongside the body to make sure the car is not covered with mud.
