Can anyone tell me what steering gear is used to update to a quick ratio. Is it a direct bolt on?

I believe you use a third generation Camaro steering box, but you have hose specially made since the fittings are different. I also believe the internal stops have to be relocated. There's a tech reference article on this. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.

When the new server's up and the search function is back, do a search. This topic has been discussed before and several donors have been brought up. I don't know what they were though.

Tim,

These are some of the parts that have been listed here before, for a direct bolt in.

Box: any 84-87 Monte SS, Olds 442, Buick GN

Hose: 85 cutlas supreme w a 307

Metric fitting and pressure regulator from the back of a Mid 80's rear wheel drive.

Rag joint from a 79-84 chevy full size pick up.

You can research this when the search starts working, but this will get you going. Thanks Bill
