I just bought a 72 El-camino with a 454 and a 4 speed. The guy said the car originally came with A/C but I always thought that those motors would run too hot for an A/C unit. Can I find out any more information about the car and what it takes to hook up the A/C so it doesn't over heat the car? Thanks in advance- Dino

Your belief is only true for the solid lifter version of the chevy big block (LS6, L78, ...) The LS5 454 (found in 71 and 72 chevelles, el caminos) could be purchased with AC.
