I am asking for suggestions for a floor shifter for my Chevelle. I recently installed a 2004-R teansmission in my 72 Chevelle and the transmission is currently shifted via the original column shift. I'd like to get rid of that but I have never faced buying an automatic floor shifter and the choices are legion and bewildering. Hoping someone who has been there and done that can smooth the way for me.

This is a bench seat car. No console.

I was in the same boat as you are when swithching from column to floor with a bench. I went with a BM Megashifter. The end result was that I was not happy with the floor shift/bench combo. I went all out and converted to buckets with console/megashifter and graemlins/hurray.gif

anyone else been thru this?
