I was puttting on a new set of rear springs when I noticed dripping from the transmission. Upon further inspection, I noticed that tranny fluid was coming out of the kick-down cable right were the plastic cable covering meets the metal base. It wasnt leaking at the transmission housing where the cable bolts in...everything look fine in that area. It only leaked when I raised the left rear of the car. I'm wondering if I have too much tranny fluid in there. Even with too much tranny fluid, should it be coming out at this location? Thanks, Scot

I can't remember which side the cable goes in on but there should be a breather tube in what is the left side of the trans if i recall correct. So when jacking up the rear you could be causing the fluid to come out because the trans may be overfilled.IMO thats your problem. If it is its an easy fix. loosen the plug for a few seconds and then insert jack up and check the problems status may be the cheapest quickest frix to a problem.
