i have been hearing all kinds of talk about good and bad years for these transmissions. can anyone clarify which years to stay away from. i have visited www.highperformancecars.com/crosley. (http://www.highperformancecars.com/crosley.) however, it does not state the problem years. i am going to put the tranny behind a 4oo hp 454 in a 69 el camino. do not wish to get into the electronics involveed whith the newer units. any help or guidance would be appreciated. thanks mark

I have decided to go with their level 3 transmission due to the companys reputation for quality and support. They are even in your state Mark! It's just a matter of saving more money before I do it.

1988-1993 700R4's are the best to start with. If you need a rebuild kit go here http://www.pro-built.net/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewproduct&productid=5 for a complete transmission go here http://www.pro-built.net/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewproduct&productid=35 There are other options if needed. Let me know if I can be of help?
