We are installing a stock T56 from a LT1 camaro and were wondering what modifications needed to be done to the driveshaft, if any. The car currently has a TH-350 in it, so they both share a 27 spline output shaft so the yoke should work for both, but as far as length is there anyone that has done this swap and can tell me if I can use the current driveshaft or the amount it needs to be lengthened or shortend? I would like to get this taken care of beforehand to avoid down time. I also have the driveshaft from the camaro if that one will work.

call the driveline shop of your choice, they will tell you how and where to measure. I took mine to the driveline shop in springfield,mo. 3 hrs later it was shorter, balanced, new yoke and spicer u-joints...had this done in my th350 to th400 swap last november.

WOW! I had no idea that it could be turned around that quickly. We were really looking to minimize downtime as much as possible, but if we can find a shop that has a similar turn-around like yours that wouldn't be bad at all. Thanks. graemlins/beers.gif
