Hi, I am installing a 200-4R with lockup in my '70 Elky. Does anyone know where to find a 3000+ converter without breaking the bank? Contact info would also be helpful.

I've actually been looking for the same thing you are. What's price range of most them that you have been finding?
So far, i think the best that i've come acress is the TCI Super Street Fighter Lockup. Behing a small block, TCI says it should stall around 3500-3800, and through Summit it costs about $435.
Have you found anything better?

Don't shop by price here or you will regret it. Shop for combo of service and what exactly, it is you are getting. Purchase something made for your application and not what is "on the shelf".

I am not sure I should have the lock-up feature with my 200R-4. To be honest, I am worried that a 200R-4 might have trouble holding up to the solid roller 454, with a ATI ProCharger. I planned on the P1SC (self-contained) with 8 psi. I am guessing that my power should be in the 800+HP range, although that's a guess.

I know Jody has a 200R-4, but I have heard he is having lockup truoble too. I am going to race my Elco often in the summer (with 10" slicks), so I am worried that the tranny might frag...even with the best parts.

Any thoughts?
