For a 64 chevelle. I am aquiring parts for future 4 speed conversion. Currently have a PG. Is the bracket that holds the brake and clutch pedals the same for auto and manual with different bushings? Don't want to buy and pay for shipping for more than I need.
Also on 70's truck 454 engines is the truck transmission bellshousing the same as auto as far as trans bolt pattern clutch arm, etc? Around here you can still get quite a few BB trucks but cars are non-existant or very expensive to use as parts rig.
Thanks Patrick

It's the same on a 66. Parts catalogs show clucth pedal assemblies the same for 64-72. The brake pedal mounts inside the bracket. The clutch pedal has a pin that slides through the bracket from the left side securing the brake pedal between the bracket sides.

No, the truck Bell Housing is Different.
The center hole for the front bearing retainer is too large, and will not support the front of the trans.
Keep looking....

Mike - that is what I thought from looking at the 64 assembly manual, I can't image them not making the main bracket universal.
Dennis - thanks for the input I just need to know what I'm getting into. The whole external balancing has me a little worried so I am trying to find a donor that is complete from dampner/balancer to flywheel so I don't have to worry as much about having everything rebalanced.
Hopefully in January when everyones Christmas bills come due there will be some deals :D
