My gear indicator line on the dash won't go back to park. It goes as far as reverse but won't go back to park. It's minor but just wondered if there was something that could be done to fix it.

hey malibu man I have the same problem but mine goes a bit further than just the indicator.. the whole shifter is somewhat loose and sometimes slips from one gear to another if I'm not careful (yes kind of dangermouse). I know where all my gears are even tho the indicator doesnt show it correctly --
BUT im afraid :eek: of if my girlfriend or somebody goes to drive it & puts it in what they think is drive (but is really 1st gear), drives around in 1st and f*x up my car. that would really suck if I could've avoided it with a minor fix. so Trever if anyone gives a good answer here please let me know.. but of course i will also check here. thanx
