If I set my kickdown per shop manual procedure it doesn't kickdown. Will it hurt anything if I adjust it so that the forward end of the slot just makes contact with the stud on the carb throttle lever @ closed throttle? It is a 1978 thm-350 on a 327 with Quadrajet.
