I live in Florida and am in the process of buying an SS 454 4 speed rolling body from a guy in Oregon. I have bought and shipped several cars from coast to coast before, but all have been in running condition.

Anyone have any recommendations on shippers, tips, warnings, etc, regarding this endeavor? I'm buying it because it's extremely clean and straight and I'd like it to stay that way, but an enclosed carrier isn't an option due to the cost.

Thanks,
Donny

Donny,
Try Waggoner Trucking, Billings,MT 800-999-9097
I have not used these guys but a TC member who had used them a couple of times gave me their name and said he was very happy with their work. They use enclosed trailers and have locations in several states. Their prices also seem reasonable; they quoted me $795 to transport a '66 from Nashville, TN to Corpus Christi, TX. If that 800 number does not work let me know, I have a couple of others at the office.

If you don't mind an open trailer try Jeff at town-to-town@aol.com. He is reasonable and has hauled vehicles for me before.
