I've got a Hurst Super Shifter III in my 69 Chevelle and I would like to use a Hurst T handle with button on the side for the line lock. Currently, I've got the original round ball handle and the line lock button is mounted on the stick. Problem is that the Hurst T Handle is made for shifters that have a bend in the middle of the stick (stick tilts back). My shifter stick is straight (perpendicular to the floorboard). If you put a standard T Handle on a straight stick then the "Hurst" engraved emblem points into the lower part of the dash instead of toward the back. A T-handle will tilt forward and will not be correctly positioned for grabbing (and the emblem is positioned wrong). Anybody have this problem? I called Hurst and talked to the rudest guy on the planet. He told me that I'm crazy and the T Handle would work on a Super Shifter III. I know he is wrong (Hurst should fire him).
