Anyone know if there are different styles/types of trans mounts available? The energy suspension ones I have seen measure 1.937" tall. Pep Boys and Autozone and my local speedshop all had the same type, which measured just under 1.875" tall.

I did have a different style mount before, but I threw it out, but I know it was not as tall as these.

If I could find something that is closer to 1.500" that would really help right now. I am wondering if I could x-reference a mount for another GM product that used a Muncie. My '69 factory service manual shows two types of mounts, one for SB and one for BBC..searching has not done me much good on this topic!

In the process of converting my car from an automatic to a manual four speed transmission, I discovered that the transmission mount for the manual four is quite a bit shorter than the transmission mount for the automatic. Sorry, I did not measure the difference. Using the wrong one would cause drive line vibration.

NPD confirmed that there is a different style mount, that has a metal tab that bends down and engages with the oval shaped slot in the cross member. The partial reference # is 2295. I also was able to use this info to find this mount at a local Pep Boys (Listed for 69-73 Chevrolet with BBC engines 396/427). It measures 1.625" tall. Just in case anyone runs into this problem down the road.
