Ive been searching for a while now, but i still have some questions.
I'm doing an auto to manual swap, and putting in a Tremec 3550. Either way, i have to buy linkage. Which way would you guys go?

Ive been looking at stuff from Tilton, McLeod, and Howe Racing Enterprises. Here are my questions.
For those of you who use a hydraulic setup, how did you mount your master cylinder?
How does the throwout bearing mount inside the bellhousing?
What did you pay for the setup?

And can you give me an entire list of parts i would need. So far i can think of:
Master cylinder, mounting bracket for it, lines/fittings, and the throwout bearing. Is that it, or am i forgetting stuff?
How hard are they to setup.
Also, does anyone have any first hand experience with what size cylinder, and what length throw gives the best pedal feel?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

-Matt Hi Matt. I would recommend the stock mech linkage setup over the hyd. It'll be cheaper, more reliable, and much easier to install, and no chance of hyd fluid leaks, and won't warp your firewall.

With our GM conversion 3550, you can use all stock components; bellhousing, fork, bearings, z-bar, etc.

I think I can also get you all of the hyd components if you're interested. I'm not positive, but I think the master & slave cyl will run around $300. And you'll need a bellhousing, which run $260-$400 for the steel ones.

Thanks for the info. I started thinking about it the day after i posted this, and i realized that for now, that money could go toward other things. (like a new tach, line lock, and driveshaft loop smile.gif )
So for now i will be going with the mechanical linkage.
