Anyone out there heard anything positive or negative about the new Repro 69 Chevelle SS Hoods. I'm thinking of ordering one from Ted Williams or NPD and I would like to know what type of quality they are before I do so. Thanks in advance for your help....

I bought a repo SS hood for my '69 and was VERY pleased with the fit....did not require any fudging. I had heard all of the horror stories about re-stamped sheet metal and was a little nervous about using such an aftermarket hood. The only problem I did have, and it was not really a problem, was that on the underside of the hood there were a few spots that looked as though the corrosion coating which was applied during manufacturing was "blistering". These spots were very small so I merely scuffed those areas with some scotch brite and used a good primer/sealer. The hood was manufactured by Goodmark Industries...if you call them using their 800 number, they can give you the name of the distributor closest to your home.
