: Electric fan from '98 Crown Vic?

I've been doing some searches on electric fans, and I haven't seen this set up yet. I was eyeballing the setup on a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria. It is a single fan (but huge, maybe around 19" diameter), with a full shroud. Just wondering if any of you have tried this? Thanks in advance.

I wonder if that isn't the same as the Mark VIII fan that many of us are running...?

I'll have to dig thru the forum and see if someone has a pic - or maybe I can search out the PN on a Ford parts site. Thanks, Chad.

While "searching", I saw a link to your website. Your MK-VIII setup looks nice, definitely not the same though. This Crown Vic set up has a full shroud - looks pretty much like a regular GM shroud (deep and tall/wide), but the fan is built into it. If I can find a link to a pic, I'll post it. How do you like your set up, just out of curiosity?

Just dug up a link, the pic doesn't show how deep it is - probably about 6" deep shroud:

I only have to run the fan when I sit in traffic for a while. But when I'm running it the engine runs cooler than it does without it. 175-180 on the highway without it, 165-170 with it.

I'm still amazed at the performance of these fans.
