Anyone out there have any experience with the Airtique Super Max in dash A/C unit? I like the electric controls and they say it is a MAX cooling unit with variable temp and variable fan speeds so I am thinking about loading one in my A-body. Anybody tried one of these units or dealt with Airtique?

Oman, have you given up on the V/A setup? What happened?

Not sure I gave up ...not yet at least. I came right down to the wire as far as finishing the final fitting of the hoses and saw an add for Air-tique. I am at the point where all I need to do is cut the hoses they are all routed everything is read to final install.

Started looking at the add for the Air Tique Super Max (sounds like a type of prison) and said "Gee this has a lot of features the VA Sure Fit does not have AND it seems to have greater cooling capacity AND it will fit right into the dash. With all the glove box mods and the reboped brackets under the dash I have more than enough room.

Current plans are to call Airtique today and see how they stand muster on tech questions. I guess I might actually be thinking of saving the VA unit to use in my Vette. Smaller area to cool in a 66 Vette Roadster. At least that is my rationalization for the investigation. I learned a lot doing this install and given that it is already September well what the hell now i have all winter to screw around with Air-Tique if I decise to go that way.
