I know you'll get a lot of opinions on this so I'll put my two cents in. I am running a supercharged 454 in my 69, and I have had success with a Windstar fan setup. It's a puller, and with a 4 row radiator with oil cooler, trans cooler, A/C condensor in front of it I have had very good results. Plus with the proper combination of sensors and relays, you have very good control of your system.

What are the dimensions of the Windstar fan unit. Thinking of trying it. Also understand one must do a little whacking on it to clear the bottom hose. Finally how have you attached it to the radiator or radiator support? What I have now cools fine (7 blade fan w/HD fan clutch) but could always find an excuse to spend more $ on the mochine.

Its almost the same size as the large radiator.
Heres a link to Johns website.
He has some good pics on wiring and the installation.
I had to do some trimming to make things fit (lower radiator hose) but it was simple.

The Windstar assembly housing is 30 1/2 x 18, not including the mounting tabs that'd probably get cut off.
